2/20 Ok serious question, NOT political. This is straight up procedural.
Has it been declared that we didn't find WMD in iraq? (think so).
So why did we go into iraq (what was the gain), and if nobody really
knows, why is nobody looking for the reason?

MORE WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush called on Israel on Wednesday to exercise restraint in Gaza and to respect "innocent life" after Israeli tanks and helicopters fired on protesters in a refugee camp, killing at least 10 Palestinians. The White House said it has asked the Israeli government to explain its actions, which raised the two-day death toll to 33 in Israel's bloodiest raid in Gaza in years. It is essential that people respect innocent life in order for us to achieve peace," Bush told reporters after meeting with members of his Cabinet. But I will continue to speak out about the need for all parties to respect innocent life in the Middle East," Bush said. The criticism underscored growing US concerns about Israeli tactics one day after Bush called the Gaza violence "troubling." Medics said about 50 people were wounded at the besieged Rafah camp in southern Gaza and that the casualties included many children and teenagers. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said earlier on Wednesday that the United States was "very concerned about reports from Gaza and the number of Palestinians who are said to have been injured and killed." "We have asked the government of Israel for the facts about what happened today. We will continue to follow this closely and we urge all parties to exercise maximum restraint," McClellan added. The White House said it issued increasingly critical comments after details of the Israeli raid emerged. The firing began as marchers surged toward the Tel Sultan neighborhood, the focal point of Israel's sweep into Rafah, to demand that humanitarian aid be allowed in. The Gaza Strip, which was among territory seized by Israel in the 1967 Mideast War, is home to 13 million Palestinians who live in poor conditions with little freedom of movement. The Palestinian Authority has branded the Israeli attack a "war crime" and demanded international protection for the Palestinian people. In Geneva, the United Nations' special human rights envoy for the occupied territories said Israeli military strikes against the Gaza refugee camp were war crimes and a violation of humanitarian law. The raid has raised an international outcry because of Israeli threats to flatten hundreds of homes to widen an army-controlled security corridor along the border with Egypt.
