Unlike most other applications for OS X we are completely invisible and send no probe requests. KisMAC supports third party PCMCIA cards with Orinoco and PrismII chipsets, as well as Cisco Aironet cards. Feel free to download the alpha version and tell 30 us your opinion. Please note: This program is not intended for people, who have not much knowledge about WiFi, but for professional users. The attack itself will work only for TKIP mode, but it should be easy to modify it for AES mode. KisMAC utilizes Altivec for the attack, but due the well-designed structure of WPA, the attack will not perform very well. To attack WPA you must observe a complete key exchange of at least one client. One can force such an exchange by doing a short injection of deauthentication packets. Other new features: * Thanks to Vincent Malguy, KisMAC is now completely localized to French. A more complete overview can be obtained from the 31 bugtracker. This KisMAC release adds experimental support for Atheros based Cardbus/PCI cards. I also fixed a couple of bugs, but not as many as I would have liked to fix. Anyone can use it to file bug reports, or look for others with similar problems. The more people use it, the more stable KisMAC will become. And thanks to Hugh Kennedy, the netstumbler output is not corrupted anymore. This version supports finally Airport Extreme cards, however only in a very limited mode. This should also apply for AirPort Extreme compatible cards with Broadcom Chipsets. This is way faster, than the old cocoa based engine and should also prevent deadlocks, which happend way too often in the last versions. Last but not least it includes a patch from Maximillian Dornseif, to make KisMAC more compatible with non-standard GPS daemons. Bugs have been fixed too, but the new core engine, added probably a lot more too, so appreciations in advance. Inside the 39 KisMAC documentation awaits a new chapter all beginners and not studied computer scientists. Thanks to Geoff, who wrote the chapter and contributed the CVS connection. From the outside only few things changed, but in the inside major clean-ups took place. This can give anyone with a local account root privileges. I will try to answer mails, but there might be a long delay. If you have something urgent, you will need to write the mailing list, there are a couple of extremly capable people. Problems when you move KisMAC to a folder with spaces should be fixed. It also includes wordlist attacks and the possibility to disable the password question. This version includes the ability to decrypt ethercap files and has a few additions to make KisMAC more userfriendly. The download also includes all changes of the development releases. But I am sure we will write some cool applications, with all the new features, that we can access now. KisMAC is also able to detect active stumblers, such as macstumbler users. Most important: the installer contains a new version of the sourceforge wireless driver, which has a complete new power-management.
