WorldNetDaily has also covered this story: 10 WorldNetDaily: 'Transsexual bill' poses dilemma for Davis. The California State Assembly has also just snuck in a $400,000 budget item that will finance the building of an AIDS memorial in the shape of the pagan Aztec god Quetzalcoatl. The proposal had been removed but was quietly inserted back into an appropriations bill (AB 1765) without the knowledge of conservative legislators. The pagan AIDS memorial has been promoted by lesbian activist legislator Jackie Goldberg, who is on the Assembly's joint budget committee. WorldNetDaily has more: WorldNetDaily: 11 'Pagan god' sneaked in California budget. Wouldn't this amount to the California Republic recognizing Paganism as the state religion? After all, the entire nation had to endure the clintons and their "clown-college" entourage, for eight years! If you think that you're immune from this disease, tell me what state you're from, and we'll compare notes! You really have to live here to believe what's going on. I just got back from a road trip through a bunch of the Mountain States, and it really hit me how bad California is. I wonder how the MeCHA/La Raza people feel about this - aren't they big on Aztec mythology? I guess it's more important to pander to homosexuals, than your own constituents. If they erect memorials in a park for AIDS, where are the memorials for people who died of heart disease, stroke and cancer? The state is broke, but they have money for things like this, which the people who live around the park object to. All told, I'd wager this state is 62% Leftist, judging solely by the ratio of 20 Republican congressional representatives out of 53 total. That's but one of the reasons why we needed Darrel Issa to keep the recall afloat. I always thought the "separation of church and state" crowd was a bit, um, biased. The proposal had been removed but was quietly inserted back into an appropriations bill (AB 1765) without the knowledge of conservative legislators. The pagan AIDS memorial has been promoted by lesbian activist legislator Jackie Goldberg, who is on the Assembly's joint budget committee. Too bad nobody told Jackie that California is broke, therefore the check will bounce. I'll rail against California bashing, and misspelt words too. Our soon to be ejected state leaders are a disease, not the state itself. Cali is still a cesspool that proper folk would do well with abandoning. Let it have the fast track to "California" - it's inevitable anyway given our cowardly Pols on both side of the aisle. I recently had a friend work very hard to be transferred there, to my bafflement. I don't correct other posters spelling, as I think it's rude; Are they now going to offer public mass human sacrafice followed by a cannibal feast at this memorial? I don't see any reason that anyone who dies of AIDS should be viewed as a Hero. It's about 73 degrees, slight on shore pacific breeze, clear, visibility is about 30 miles, some off shore fog, but it's burning off.
