The Shakujii River meanders in Kaga and flows east into the Sumida River at the north of Tokyo. Most of the rivers in Tokyo are sandwiched between the two insipid banks with concrete protection. But each riverside has space of recreation such as the promenade lined with cherry trees, and shows us the scenery of the seasons. The Kaga-midoribashi Bridge is a small bridge only for a sidewalk. From on the bridge, you can enjoy viewing the fantastic cherry blossoms hanging over the river. One week after the full blossoms, the flow of the river was dyed pink with plenty of cherry petals fallen by the wind.
