HP LaserJet 6L, 1100, 1100A, 3100, and 3150 Series Products - Multiple Sheets F eed Through the Printer ISSUE: Multiple sheets feed through the HP LaserJet 6L, 1100/1100A, 3100 or 3150 series product during a print job. Verify the media is within the specifications for the unit. Verify the media is in good condition and is not damaged, curled, wrinkled, or irregularly shaped. Media that is not stored in the original packaging will adapt to the HP LaserJet series printers' environment. Check the following environmental conditions at the HP LaserJet series printer's location. Each can be a contributing factor to print quality and output problems, resulting in severe paper curl, paper pick problems, multiple feeds, ghosting, and jamming. Insufficient moisture makes paper less conductive and creates static buildup. Turn the paper stack over or turn it around in the input tray to reverse the direction of the paper. This can cause poor print alignment, mis-stacking, improper fit in the input tray, or difficulties for the paper sensors. When adding paper to an existing stack in the paper input bin, always remove and realign all of the paper to avoid multiple paper feeds, paper jams, or both. Do not "fan" the paper before adding it to the paper input bin. Instead, "break" the paper by gently folding the stack of paper in half in a U shape. Make sure the paper meets the specifications listed for basis weight in 26 HP LaserJet Printer Family - Print Media Guide. Clean the printer with a dry lint-free cloth, or with the recommended cleaning kit from HP. Make sure to remove all dust, spilled toner and particles of paper from the unit, see the User's Manual that shipped with the unit for cleaning instructions specific to the model. NOTE: Dirt, debris, and paper fragments may accumulate on top of the separation pad. Store media in the paper ream, out of direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry environment. Avoid the following types of media: + Print media that is very rough, highly textured, or heavily embossed. If you selected not easy for question 2, in which section did you expect to find it?
