3/23 Does anyone know of a way to map a file's type (magic number, extension
etc.) to its mime-type? Specifically, I'm looking for a way to include
binary files into messages composed via mh-e or comp without having
to manually type in the content-type for each binary file.

Google Wave No More. The people who worked on it were pretty smart.
They wrote up a super awesome OKR with extremely low bar as a measure
of success, exceeded everyone's expectations by going above those
bars, and got big fat bonuses and promotions as a result of their
        planning. Brilliant.

1/12 Sometimes my Thinkpad hangs for 5-10 minutes when I unsuspend it.
Sometimes it comes back in only 10 seconds. Whats up man? I've
noticed that my MacBook is starting to take a while too (5-10
seconds) but the old MacBooks were almost instantaneous. I've
experimented with turning off services, and the only one that
seems to do the trick is closing Yahoo Messenger, which...

10/14 2 apache 2.0.52 servers running on Linux boxes. Identical httpd.conf
files (except for ServerName). But on one, if a CGI script takes
longer than 300 seconds, it times out. The other, not. Why is that?
\_ Perhaps network equipment configuration. Or try comparing settings
           in /proc/sys/net.
\_ I ran /sbin/sysctl -a | grep tcp, all settings are the same.

5/26 I seem to recall that ATI was going to open-source it's drivers
does anyone know if the ATI drivers for Linux still suck?
\_ Do the drivers suck or are they just binary only?
        \_ Last I checked (~6 months), they didn't support rotation, and I
couldn't find any indication that they planned to do so. That's
the only thing I really care about, so I can't say if they suck

3/4 Does anybody have some code or know of a program that will take a
network/mask and return the list of address in that CIDR block?
        e.g. "iplist 10.10.10.0/24" and return 10.10.10.0 ... 10.10.10.255
[I have a way to do this, but it involves distributing a large
amount of code, which is kind of a hassle. Looking for something
lightweight and either standard or easdy to rpm/port/yum install.]
