\_your libertarian mouthpiece numbers look like they
were pulled out of nowhere. this topis is lame and
boring anyway. Damn those all powerful environmentalists,
trying to save the world! what a bunch of fucks!
\_ Yes, damn them! This planet belongs to us, not our children,
and we can use it as we please.
\_ Yup. and stop blame Chinese being a pollutor. You guys

Yeah, let's beat the Europeans on laziness. If their purpose really
is to save the planet, why not re-direct the "excess" consumption
towards environmental causes? I don't see how traveling, for example,
in the extra free time is not a form of consumption.

7/16 China burned 1.9 billion metric tons of coal in 2004. By 2020, predicts
the China Coal Industry Development Research Center, it will burn 2.9
billion tons a year. That increment alone will send as much carbon
dioxide into the atmosphere as 3 billion Ford Expeditions, each driven
15,000 miles a year. This puts into sobering perspective the meager
efforts of the U.S. to stave off global warming by improving gas

7/5 Just saw Wall-E. Beautiful movie. Environmental message was vague
enough to appeal to anyone. "Stay the course" was a bit heavy-handed.
        Overall, thumbs up.
\_ I totally agree, it was very nicely done. If the stupid right-
wingers who are up in arms about how bad it is maybe they should
open their eyes and take a look at how much garbage our society

The next time you buy a Sierra Club calendar or get a slick brochure asking you to give money to these causes, keep in mind, your donation will fund the enemies of America. I read Undue Influence awhile back - it really broadened my perception of what's going on with all these leftist/environmentalist groups! I mean after all, isn't that what they would do to us if it were You or me? Seems like every election in California has some environmenal measure on the ballot, and they always pass. People are conditioned to vote "yes" on anything that has anything to do with the environment. But really, where is the Green Party getting their funds? There can't be many big companies -except for the Body Shop-- who would be willing to give big money to the Greens. Mail checks to: Jim Crispino PO Box 966 Canaan, CT 06018 No anthrax tainted contributions, please. And until the practice is stopped (or at least severely curtailed) these organisations will continue to flourish. No, a great many of them are believers in the ends and means, that's the real problem. I belong to a charter fisherman's group that is engaged in a two front battle. These "preservationists" have so much money, they want you to go to battle so they can economically break you. Just a mild skirmish will cost you 50 - 60 thousand dollars. There is no end of money and lawyers on their side,so they drag it out until you go broke. Also an ace in the hole for them is to send "young female cause chasers" to the meeting to make emotional appeals instead of dealing with the facts. They can make opening a can of tuna fish sound like an atrocity. Another thing that helps these environazis is the unawareness of the public even when their livelyhood is affected. Only a small percentage of any group see the threat immediately and react. By the time the rest get interested it is to late and the horse is out of the barn. If people couldn't write off these donations, but instead had to pay for them out of their own pocket, we would see how many true believers there really were. Internal corruption married to external motives will always make solid forward momentum . It is most interesting to me that a free educated populace would aide this .
