Insurance companies are very strict with commercial trucking and will not insure unsafe trucks. Since Mexican trucks (not like the pictures posted on this thread) need to qualify under the Department of Transportation, show proof of insurance and provide 90 day inspection reports, and then undergo an inspection by the California Highway Patrol before they cross the border, where's the problem? And, on top of all that, American truckers will now be able to travel into Mexico to pick up cargo! And just what do you plan to do with all the drugs and illegal aliens these trucks will bring with them? And how do you expect American truckers, many of them suffering economic hardships as it is to compete with this cheaper labor?
