Only five per cent of Hong Kong men think they're sexy, compared with 55 percent of Philippine men and 48 percent of South Korean men surveyed by Time Asia magazine. About 91 per cent of those surveyed say they initiate sex, far more than their counterparts in other Asian countries. And they are more likely to find cyberspace as an alternative route to compensate low self-esteem. About 11 percent of Hong Kong men admit they've had cyber sex, just below Singaporean men. Time and Asia Market Intelligence recently surveyed more than 1,000 people in four countries, and Hong Kong. Hong Kong women, despite a reputation for their love for high fashion, are under-performers among the sexy bunch -- only 16 per cent find themselves sexy. And only one percent of Hong Kong women have had lesbian sex. Despite low sexual esteem, Hong Kongers prove to be the most fussy in bed -- they top the ranks in usage of contraceptives and condoms. Hong Kong and Philippine women may represent two extremes of the hormone poles, however, none of those surveyed in these two places have had more than 13 sexual partners. South Korean men are the most sexually active, about 27 percent of them have had up to 12 sexual partners. And about 17 per cent of Korean men have made love to more than 13 people, a much higher rate than other Asian countries. That may explain why South Korean men were found to be the most unfaithful. About 65 per cent of them say they have strayed, the highest rate in Asia. Interestingly, Korean women also top the infidelity list. The poll found Asians can go kinky -- about 37 per cent of Thai men and 34 per cent of Thai women surveyed say they like to be spanked. Almost 30 per cent of all surveyed say they accept bi-sexuality. Singaporean women can call the shots, not just in business. About 18 per cent of them say they initiate sex, compared with one per cent in Hong Kong women. Virgins are still hot items in the Catholic-dominated Philippines. About 78 per cent of men and 65 per cent of women want to marry a virgin. RELATED SITE: 47 Time Asia Note: Pages will open in a new browser window External sites are not endorsed by CNN Interactive.
