11/9    What do you do when the OSX disk utility (booted from CD) fails
        to repair your primary startup disk and gives you the error:
        "Invalid B-tree node size"? This is an iMac G5 and it cannot boot

11/10   Now that FF 1.0 is out, has anybody gone back and compared, say,
        startup times to older versions (maybe even Phoenix)?  Is FF still
        a great deal faster than mozilla?  I remember using phoenix and
        thinking that it was maybe 2x faster for startup, as compared to
        mozilla.

Below is a list of charitable organizations that specialize in refurbishing computers for a variety of groups, from health care organizations in Cuba to local community groups. The project works with youth in Oakland to refurbish Macintosh computers, for placement with schools, community based organizations and individuals. We have a van and a big truck and like to pick up 10 or more systems if possible. Department of Commerce covering various types of computer equipment and hold tax-deductible status under 501. You may want to check that list first, as it may be more convenient to donate to another department on campus rather than to an off-campus organization.
