1/19 http://fusionone.com is finally charging people for syncing files. Let's
        boycott.
\_ I just signed up for "Free sync for life". What are you talking
           about?
\_ after using it for about 6 months, I got an email saying
"email sync is free for life. upgrade to premium account
if you want to continue using file sync."
\_ Holy shit! Someone on the net is trying to make money from their
web based service! That sucks! Let's boycott the net! The net
           wants to be free!

        Fuck you Apple!
\_ Really? I know they say you can't put more than 8GB in the 13"
MBP, but I have 16GB in my 2011 13" MBP and it works perfectly.
\_ I thought the new ones have soldier on HD and RAM just like

11/24 What is the best 25-32" monitor out there? I am ready to upgrade

\_ How much money are you willing to spend, and how good do you
really need it to be good? Are you willing to pay $900 for the
industry standard monitor used by graphics artists, or are you

8/20 When I use rsync to backup, it's pretty cool except in cases where
I rename a directory name from the source. Rsync will just do
a plain copy. Is there a program that'll detect renaming of
directories (by checking for children files), or at least
move them to a dated directory?
\_ Not related but beware of using rsync as a backup tool.

2/26 If I want to rsync a perforce or svn directory while users
are checking things in, could I wind up with a corrupted copy?
\_ sure why not. if you are really cool, your copy of the svn
repo is on LVM, and you snap the LVM to copy it.
\_ It'll seem less cool when you realize you've taken a snapshot
of a block level device, which only guarantees that this set of

4/3 In "p4 client", modtime/nomodtime sets the file timestamp to
either the modification time from submitting client or the time that
the file is fetched. Is there a way to set the file timestamp to
the time that the file was submitted, like what ClearCase does? Thx.

3/17 Anyone using a Windows Mobile based phone and is using a mac to sync/

2/11 I want an rrdtool-like program that can store/retrieve/graph
arbitrary data, but I don't want it to drop/smooth out data over
time like rrdtool does. The amount of data is relatively small
and I want exact data points stored forever. Is there something
like that out there? I've tried google and freshmeat but I'm not
