10/24 What is the absolute cutoff time to leave a feedback for a user on
eBay? A stupid seller is refusing payment, eBay is not doing
anything about it, and if I leave a negative feedback right now
I will surely get one back. To protect myself I'd like to leave
a negative feedback a few hours before the cutoff so that he cannot
retaliate. But what is the cutoff time?

7/31 Hi, I am looking for a monitoring recommendation for use at home
with my MacMini and as a second monitor for my Airbook. At this
point I dont want to buy a fancy Apple monitor -- will probably
wait for then to announce a new one -- but price doesnt really
matter [office buy], but it doesnt seem like there is any need
to spend more than $500? Historically I've just gotten a decent

3/18 Why is a genuine Mac Book charger $60 when it's only $20 on eBay?
I failed to see a difference in quality.
\_ Why does popcorn cost so much at the movies? Why do car values
halve the minute you take it off the lot? Why do you suddenly
pay less when you become a senior citizen? There are economic
reasons for just about every pricing puzzle.

5/23 I'm seeing a bunch of old German copy stuff w/ Swastika on it
selling on eBay. Doesn't eBay ban Swastika? Or I got it confused
        with other stuff?
\_ These are only banned in Germany.
        \_ and in France.

1/26 Bought my XSi kit with 18-55 and 55-250 for only $750. The price
has since then jacked up to about $950 because of US $ and
the end of Canon's $100 rebate. I'll be selling it back on
eBay for a profit. Expect Canon to release something completely
new and better for this year's PMA. Canon rules.

1/14 I'm an eBay power seller. In the past couple months I've had
a bunch of people claiming that they never received their items
and they're all from the AL, MO area. I'm going to start adding
tracking (75 cents more) which will eat up my profit margin
significantly since the items I sell are really cheap (sub $10
and $5 items and eBay+PayPal are already eating up 10% of fees).

12/15 I have a few 100G and 200G drives that I want to dump. Do people
actually buy used legacy HD on eBay?
\_ Yup they do -- researchers doing articles on the lack of safety
of data on computers often go to eBay, buy used hard drives,
and mine all sorts of goodies from the not, or poorly, wiped
           drives.

Such member-to-member comments help the millions of buyers and sellers in the community build trust and share their trading experiences with others. A profile has basic information about the member and a list of feedback left by their trading partners from previous transactions. Learning to trust a member of the community has a lot to do with what their past customers or sellers have to say! For each transaction, only the buyer and seller can rate each other by leaving feedback. Each feedback left consists of a positive, negative, or neutral rating, and a short comment. Leaving honest comments about a particular eBay member gives other Community members a good idea of what to expect when dealing with that member. Once it is left, the feedback becomes a permanent part of the member's profile. Feedback scores and stars Feedback ratings are used to determine each member's feedback score. A positive rating adds 1 to the score, a negative rating decreases it by 1, and a neutral rating has no impact. The higher the feedback score, the more positive ratings they've received from members. However, a member can increase or decrease another member's score by only 1 no matter how many transactions they share. The feedback score and the corresponding 26 feedback star is shown next to the every member's user ID. A feedback score of at least 10 earns you a yellow star . As your feedback score increases, you can earn different colored stars all the way to a red shooting star for a score above 100,000! Your star is your symbol of trust and experience in the eBay community. Read a 27 note from eBay's founder, Pierre Omidyar, outlining the philosophy, values, and benefits of the Feedback Forum.
