10/18 I found the correlation between Middle East fighting and the motd:
        http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/3/14080.html
(Summary: P4's are made in Israel, which might be bad news for Intel)
\_ I've made the connection now. AMD is paying the Muslims to bomb
the jews so that the Atlon will take over the x86 compatible
           market.
\_ There is nothing illegal with this.
\_ Yeah, and Al Capone was just a "business man".
\_ I'm just saying, the US has no jurisdiction in
                    parts of the Middle East.
\_ if amd is a us company, the us has laws that say
things like "You aren't allowed to break us laws
                       in other countries either"
\_ so much for my drug smuggling startup.
\_ But a non-US company can break US laws in other
countries, right? If a US citizen is murdered in
another country by that country's citizen, US
has no jurisdiction over that. Whoever bombed the
ship are supposedly non-US citizens and the bombing
happened in another country, so I think US should
have no jurisdiction over that either.
\_ Just buy Checkpoint stocks. Let God's chosen people earn money
           for you.

2/20 Ok serious question, NOT political. This is straight up procedural.
Has it been declared that we didn't find WMD in iraq? (think so).
So why did we go into iraq (what was the gain), and if nobody really
knows, why is nobody looking for the reason?
\_ Political stability, military strategy (Iran), and to prevent
           Saddam from financing terrorism.

10/9 Will Glen Beck's head explode?
\_ Oh, I'm sure he'll rant and rave. What else is new?
Of course, giving Obama the peace prize is dumb, but it's a step
up from Al Gore. At least a dozen steps up from Arafat.
           \_ Kissinger beats them all.
\_ Kissinger stunk, but worse than Arafat? I dunno. That's close.

In one classroom Saturday, when UNRWA schools reopened, a Palestinian
teacher was filmed asking children about their trauma during the war.
The unidentified teacher then told the children that Palestinians have
to "wage war against them (Israelis) until they leave their land," and
asked her students, aged about 8, how they should react.

Middle East unrest could threaten P4 By Andrew Thomas Published Wednesday 18th October 2000 14:02 GMT Although the situation in the Middle East is mercifully slightly more stable today than it was last week, relations between Israel and the Palestinians are still a long way from what one might call cordial. It must be something of a worry to Intel, then, to be reminded that Fab 18 at Qiryat Gat is built on the site of the Palestinian village of Al Faluja. Fab 18 is tasked with producing practically all the world's Pentium 4s and it would be something of a challenge, to use a good old Intel phrase, should the plant be involved in any local unpleasantness or were it to become a pawn in a territorial dispute. Intel refused to comment on contingency plans for shifting production from Qiryat Gat should the worst happen, beyond stating: "The safety of our employees is paramount.
