1/14 I'm an eBay power seller. In the past couple months I've had
a bunch of people claiming that they never received their items
and they're all from the AL, MO area. I'm going to start adding
tracking (75 cents more) which will eat up my profit margin
significantly since the items I sell are really cheap (sub $10
and $5 items and eBay+PayPal are already eating up 10% of fees).

12/31 SOMEONE PLEASE FIX KEG! Why does it keep crashing?
\_ It's hard to tell. The risk of crashing seems to increase with
disk activity, or so it seems, but debugging the kernel doesn't
seem to yield much info. Email root for detailed info; I don't
have a deep understanding of the problem --t

8/25 A guy wants to buy my domain name using http://escrow.com. Are they
shady or are they decent, compared to PayPal?
\_ http://escrow.com is legit. I would not use any other escrow site.
\_ I just used it, and it's REALLY FAST and simple to use
unlike (#**$(# PayPal. So far so good, will let you know --op

3/5 My gf was a victim of an ebay scam. She bought a high priced item
from a "reputable" seller and the item never arrived nor has
the seller responded to emails. What legal actions can she
take against the seller to reclaim her money? She has filed
a complaint with ebay but ebay doesn't offer any protection.
\_ Maybe call the cops? That said, good luck. eBay seems to

2/8 When do we usually get the 1099-INT from PayPal? It's already
February and I still don't have mine.
\_ If you got less than $10 in interest, you don't get a 1099-INT.
But since PayPal is a money market fund, it's probably a
1099-DIV. I'm not sure what the rules are on that.

11/8 motd printer guy here. someone at work just printed out a shitload of
pages of info about their herpes oral (as in YOU TAKE IT ORALLY,
        jerks) meds. People are weird.
\_ 1) didnt know we had a motd printer guy. 2) what is weird about
abusing the office printer? it's commonplace.

11/1 Intelligient writeup of Google's OpenSocial platform by Marc
        Andreesen: http://blog.pmarca.com/2007/10/open-social-a-n.html
I got a chance to start working with OpenSocial before the public
release as part of my job at Slide, and it's been a pleasure to work
with. If you're looking for an interesting new platform to hack on,
I'd suggest giving OpenSocial a look. Incidentally, Slide is hiring.

10/3 Paypal is paying 5.21% interest rate, much higher than my
checking/savings/money market accounts. It's a little less than
my CDs (Countrywide and Indymac at 5.50%), but it's very liquid
and very convenient. \_ Paypal also has an ichy trigger finger
        about locking down
accounts for fraud, and gets around banking regulations by

The cost will be $10 (US) if you pick it up from me in San Francisco, CA (or on one of my many travels), or $15 (US) if you want it shipped via the post office. I'll do FedEx or UPS shipping too if you are willing to cover my additional costs. Bulk orders (more than 10 shirts), deduct 25% from the cost of the shirts. Prices will be going up after the current run due to the fact that my costs have gone up about $2 per shirt. Expect a similar rise in my prices after my current stock is exhausted. That would require lots of legal stuff that just isn't worthwhile for this. I'm just having fun making the shirts and seeing all your pretty faces light up when you see the final product! I just charge enough to pay for the shirts and my costs, and just enough on top of that so that it's still more fun than effort. If you are paying via foreign checks or money orders, please add $3 (US) to your total since I am subject to a service charge by my bank for processing those. Inside the US, shirts are shipped via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Outside the US, shirts are shipped using the fastest method covered by your payment. If the payment doesn't cover shipping to wherever you are, I will contact you before proceeding. If you prefer electronic payments over personal checks, I use PayPal which will allow you to pay with Visa or MasterCard, or directly from your checking accounts. To order immediately and pay via PayPal, click on the link below. You must include a shipping address as well as colour, sizes and quantities. I will reply to you when I get your payment notice from PayPal to confirm the payment and let you know if the shirts are in stock or on order. I will not collect your money from PayPal until the shirts have shipped, so if you get tired of waiting I can refund your money with little trouble. Remember to include size, colour and a shipping address! Check inventory (bottom of this page) to verify I have your size! Use this for less than 10 shirts: Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure! Use this for 10 or more shirts: Please note that the cost of the first nine shirts and shipping of the first ten shirts is incorporated into the "Shipping & Handling" portion of this order. Unfortunately, a premium is added to PayPal transactions to offset what they charge me to use that service. Here's another cool shirt you should check out, especially if you're a collector. It was really popular at the USENIX 2000 conference in San Diego.
