2012/12/6-18 [Recreation/Dating, Recreation/Media] UID:54549 Activity:nil | 12/6 Lesson learned: don't talk about Monty Python on a date. Women just
don't seem to get it.
\_ You are dating the wrong women (for you) then. My sister-in-law
loves it and yet I don't find it all that funny. It's not a
gender thing.
\_ is she a nerd? does she laugh funny? is she actually decent looking?

and I are doing the tourist thing.
\_ I thought the Empire State Building was much better than I
expected it to be. The museums are all stellar, especially the
Met, MoMA, and Natural History Museum. Lots of good
plays/shows/concerts. Top notch restaurants. Worth seeing the Statue

\_ McD's usually seems cool with it. Homeless winos do it all the time.
\_ Most restaurants that serve wine will let you with a corkage fee.
\_ But unless you are bringing a high end wine it is considered
a bit tacky to bring your own.
\_ Would a bottle of Yellow Tail be considered high end enough not

based on its stellar repuation. She called it 'The PF Chang's of
Vietnamese food'. Has it really gotten that bad or does she have
her head up her ass?
\_ Head. Ass. Up.
\_ Ya that's exactly it. But it's so much more expensive, I think you'd

2009/4/7-13 [Recreation/Food/Alcohol, Recreation/Food] UID:52821 Activity:kinda low | 4/7 Where can you get good food for $10? I went to an Italian restaurant
last night. Pizza/pasta was only $13 or so, but with an appetizer and
dessert the meal was over $50 (no drinks, 17% tip). And it was ok food,
with homemade gnocchi but didn't taste like anything that you couldn't
make at home with a little effort. No comparison to actual good Italian
restaurants (e.g. Bar Bambino, Delfina, SPQR) that are in the $30-50/pp

My question is how do stories like this find its way to news media? Do
people just go "hey something very interesting happens in our lives.
Let's call up a news agency or two to tell the world about it."?

2009/8/19-9/1 [Computer/SW/Unix] UID:53285 Activity:nil | 8/18 Hi again, new freebsd guy here again, in bash I was able to go
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/foo/lib ./runmyapp
I managed to do this in tcsh by using setenv in a shell script
that setenv's the lib path and then executes $1, just wondering
if there was a way to do it in 1 line from the cmd line as in bash?
Thanks, btw %2c or %3c worked. Freebsd, tcsh and vi forever!
