Released under the open-source licenses GPL (GNU Public License) or QPL (Qt Public License), these licenses are for developers who want to build free software for Unix/Linux. Software developed with the Qt Free Editions may be freely copied and distributed, put on FTP sites and CD-ROMs, etc. This is entirely different from software developed with Qt Commercial Editions, which is governed by the laws protecting intellectual property. We provide Qt Free Editions with no warranty and no support. Restrictions Software created with Qt Free Editions is governed by the terms of the 36 GPL and 37 QPL. The Free Edition licenses do not allow the development or distribution of commercial software.
