4/23 Man choses playstation 2 over hot date:
        http://ps2.ign.com/articles/508/508371p1.html?fromint=1
\-"it takes a lot of ploygons to approximate spheres" --psb
\_ is that some kind of obscure Flatland reference?
\_ Spheres are overrated. Complex curves are much better.
                  \_ Ah, but with NURBS...
How many of you would do the same?
\_ at least one person would choose otherwise:
               http://www.craigslist.org/sfc/mis/29328995.html
        \_ I'm happily married to a hot woman. I'd take the ps2.
           \_ What he said.
\_ Hotter than Jordan? Let's see a picture.
                 \_ Jordan is fat.
\_ Jordan is hot, but you can always get hot girls but PS2 is free
           and lasts a while
        \_ Hot chicks are over-rated.
\_ That person is an idiot who will regret this later when he
can't even get a woman under 40 to talk to him. All the girls
in college who were "fat" or otherwise less than perfect start
to look better and better the older you get. Woman aside, why
not go out instead of spending more time in front of a CRT?
\_ Why not pursue a relationship based on mutual interests with a
normal person than an expenses-paid dinner with a chick who's
crazy enough (or shrewd enough) to take an all-expenses-paid
dinner with whichever shmuck happens to sound better in a
random draw of the audience? Get the playstation, then tell
the next girl you date you took it because you weren't
interested in some meaningless fling. You can thank me when
you wake up next to her the next morning. Then you can go
              play Final Fantasy X.

7/3 ARG 0 - 4 GER! That's a huge spread. What was wrong with Argentina?
\_ You give a damn about soccer? What's wrong with you?
\_ Giving a damn about the World Cup != giving a damn about soccer.
This has been an exciting, topsy-turvy tournament. Maradona must
be tearing his (incredibly absurdly dyed) hair out.

Oh no, the same disease that has plagued football here at home is now
        spreading to soccer abroad.
\- You may be too young to remember ROGER MILLA and the DANCE OF THE
CORNER. Did you see BISHOP D.TUTU dancing? That was pretty funny.

April 21, 2004 - Heres a story with industry-shaking ramifications. Last nights Giants game here in San Francisco was Singles Night, which means special events to encourage love-flavored pairing up. Last night, mid-game, three Bachelors were chosen to win the favor of a Mini-Bachelorette. At stake for the three Bachelors was a chance to spend a paid evening out with her. Each Bachelor had a chance to introduce himself and charm their way to a win. While Bachelor Number One was inaudible and Bachelor Number Threes attempt at humor fell flat, Bachelor Number Two said that, as hes planning a trip to Brazil, he wouldnt mind picking up a little Portuguese. Bachelor Number Two was told that he could choose one of two prizes: either an expenses-paid date with lovely young Jordan, or a PlayStation 2 He took the PlayStation. Looks like when it comes down to a choice between videogames and female attention, these days, videogames are winning out.
