4/13 Does anyone know a good brand for USB flash drives? The reviews on
Amazon seem to suggest that most of them are crap that get corrupted
        after a few months. --dgies
\_ Lexar JumpDrive Pro is well-reviewed. Sandisk Cruzer Mini as
well (and smaller), except the silver coating scratches easily.
See Amazon. Sandisk even makes a 512 MB key that transfers at
           13-15 megabytes/second, but that's like $200+.

6/25 Help. Costco's SanDisk II 2G card works on my Canon SD300, but
it is unreadable on my laptop's SD card reader and my external
        card reader. What's going on?
\_ Some card readers don't to more than 1GB.
\_ Updating the XP card reader driver helps, surprisingly.
Old drivers read 1G sdcard, new drivers read 2G sdcards -op

11/16 A while ago, some Yahoo! employee asked what was wrong with
Yahoo mail that people would use gmail instead. These are
        my reasons:
        1. No POP3/IMAP access to keep your mail local. Gmail at
           least gives you SPOP.
        2. No forwarding or filter rules that let you forward

11/30 I have one of those tiny Sandisk keychain harddrives, and it shows
it as being nearly full (~500 of 512megs), under OS X, where it
also shows the drive as having no files on it. But when I plug the
drive into my PC, it shows a .Trashes file which has all the
files I've deleted off of it, ever. What is this .Trashes file and
how can I delete it under OS X (I can delete it with Windows)?

7/26 What are the pros and cons of Compact Flash versus Secure Digital
        for a camera?
\_ Please add to the list:
           Pro for CF:
           1. harder to break physically
           2. harder to lose

3/19 I bought a memory card from Frys. I put it in my camera
and successfully took some pictures. The next time I turned
on the camera to look at the pictures, it said "CF card
error". I downloaded a trial version of some software that
can recover pictures. (It shows only thumbnails unless you pay
$30). It was not able to recover my pictures, but it did find
