8/16 Why does my Y! mail account always full of unfiltered spam
mails (and they're obviously spams)? Why can't they do
a better job like Google mail? Why does Y! mail charge
for exporting email? Google mail doesn't do that.

4/7 I have a friend who recently started a blog posting about
legal issues (he was a lawyer who was laid off). I'm not sure why
he started this blog, but it's likely something he can show off
to potential future employers. Anyway, he keeps sending emails
whenever he's added another entry (approx once a week). Is there
any netiquette about mass emailings to tell friends/relatives

Buffalo spammer found guilty of forgery WASHINGTON Reuters - A New York state man who sent out millions of spam e-mails faces up to seven years in prison after he was found guilty of identity theft and forgery charges, the state attorney generals office says. Howard Carmack, known as the Buffalo Spammer, was found guilty by a Buffalo jury on 14 counts of identity theft and forgery, a spokesman for New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer said. Carmack sent out 825 million bulk e-mail messages using stolen identities and forged addresses, the state charged. Carmack was the first defendant to face charges under the states new identity-theft statute, Spitzers office said. Carmack faces a prison sentence of three and a half years to seven years, Spitzer spokesman Brad Maione said. He will be held in Erie County jail until his sentencing on May 27, he said. Internet provider EarthLink won a 165 million 89 million pounds judgement against Carmack last year. EarthLink officials testified in the criminal trial as well, the company said. Unwanted bulk messages now account for roughly 60 percent of all e-mail traffic, according to filtering company Brightmail. Many of Carmacks alleged activities are illegal under a national anti-spam law that took effect in January, seven months after he was charged.
