2010/1/4-19 [Politics/Domestic/911] UID:53611 Activity:moderate | 1/4 Why the fascination with blowing up airplanes? Airports have tight
security. It doesn't seem worth it. It's far easier to derail a
train or set off explosives in a crowded place like a theater or
sporting event. As many or more people will be killed and it will
still make the news. I don't get why all of our security, and
apprently much of the terrorist's resources, is focused on airplanes.

2009/4/21-23 [Politics/Foreign/MiddleEast/Israel] UID:52884 Activity:kinda low | 4/20 Ok, I am not a Jew hater. In fact, most of my so-called "white"
friends turned out to be Jews. And I am fortunate to have
opportunity to work with whole bunch Israelis and working with them
has been an absolute pleasure. HOWEVER, I just failed to understand
why people got offended by the speech by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In my
relatively neutral point of view (I am an Asian), most of what he

2009/1/28-2/6 [Politics/Domestic/911] UID:52481 Activity:low | 1/28 One of the criticisms of the Patriot Act was that it was rammed
through without any time for legislators to properly review
it. Isn't that the same problem with this $800B bill?
\_ Is this $800B bill hundreds upon hundreds of pages long? It's not
coming off the heels of a crisis in national defense; rather, it's
attempting to fix a spiraling economy. Plus it seems that the

\_ Israel
\_ A colony of what country, USA? You're funny.
\_ We do give them a few billion a year. Same with Egypt.
I doubt Egypt or Israel would exist in its present state
without our aid. You could argue that they'd be better off

2005/5/16-17 [Politics/Foreign/MiddleEast/Iraq] UID:37715 Activity:high | 5/16 I think I'm beginning to understand the rationale behind nominating
Bolton. Many Republicans think that UN is useless (case in point
http://csua.com/?entry=35423 and
freeper sites) hence they either don't care who they nominate
for or they want to show UN how pointless they are. I mean, who
the fuck writes "Darfur pretty much proves the UN as useless and

2005/4/5-8 [Politics/Domestic/President/Clinton, Reference/Tax] UID:37075 Activity:high | 4/5 Pope JP2's death reminds me of Ronald Reagan's death. I don't agree
with most of Reagan's policies and in fact I think they're stupid.
Tax break for the super wealthy, military spending explosion,
aggressive [redneck] foreign policies, etc. However, when he's on
camera he's so nice looking and charming and I just can't help it
liking him. Ditto with JP2. I don't agree with b-control and other

2005/3/14-15 [Politics/Foreign/Europe] UID:36675 Activity:moderate | 3/14 John please tell us how to open up an account outside of US, preferably
an account in which you can have US as a permanent address and one that
has a decent interest-rate to inflation ratio, like the UK pound or
Australian $, thanks.
\_ I have no idea about interest rates--continental European rates
for bank accounts tend to be pretty abysmal, but you'd drop cash

2004/8/22-23 [Politics/Foreign/Asia/China, Politics/Foreign/Europe] UID:33068 Activity:insanely high | 8/21 Why is it that a miserable 3rd world nation such as China has
more number of GOLD medals than USA, the world's wealthiest and
most technologically advanced nation in the entire world? We
spend billions and billions on advanced training,
advanced technology, and advanced scienticfic research on
our atheletes, and yet only 20 gold? For example, the runners
