8/1 Where is the mac desktop going to go? It seems all the development
in sw/hw now is for the iphone, imac. 2 finger Gestures won't work
on the desktop. What happened to the xserve line?
\_ Two finger gestures DO work on the desktop. Have you used a new
Apple laptop lately...they support up to 5 finger gestures.
\_ you're making my point even harder, do the 5 finger gestures

\_ I hate this game. I've been up until 1AM the last two nights.
Normally I go to bed around 11:30PM. Sooo tired. But it is
beautiful. First PC game I've purchased in 9 years.

11/25 So I have this annoying problem with my mouse set-up and was wondering
if the motd.collective.wisdom had an answer:
        1) When the mouse focus is in the browser, scroll up works but not
scroll down. It used to work in both directions.
Set-up is: FF3.0.4, MacOS 10.4.11, Mighty Mouse. -ausman

        \_ She looks Japanese.

8/9 Is there an automated way to change the IP of an XP machine? I have
tests that need to get run on two separate sub-nets that now require
me to physically go in and change the IP address of the test box.
Cygwin is also installed if that helps any. Thanks
\_ There are a few sort of hackey ways to do it:

2/19 I program a lot by sshing to a Linux cluster. So I'm used to using
Xemacs to code. This works fine from a Linux or Windows workstation,
but sometimes I have to use a Mac. On Mac, the meta is usually
bound to option, but that often doesn't work over ssh for some reason.
This makes using emacs a real pain. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

3/15 Why does MS put double-quotes around the '8' in Windows Server 8, like
        the following?
        - Windows 8
        - Windows Server "8"
\_ Because when they didn't do it, code didn't see the '\0'

use my laptop, my emacs is too big (and I can't resize it
because the bottom-right corner is not accessible).
