Davis Signs Illegal Alien Drivers' License Bill

\_ Based upon your logic, then, if we don't make condom
avaliable to teenager, they won't have sex, right?
\_ For those who hate Illegal Aliens, here is my question for you.
Would you for the idea of erecting a WALL between Mexico and
USA border, treating illegal aliens as "invaders?"
\_ Last time I checked, California's economy actually depend
           upon illegal aliens.
\_ Last time I checked illegals destroyed the world
trade center and flew a plane into the pentagon.
But you're right, cheap lawn and pool
                   care is more important.

Right now, lets not kid ourselves: People are driving to work, Gov. Theyre driving without demonstrating they know the rules of the road. Everyone benefits by having drivers on the road know the rules of the road and presumably be a safer driver. SB 60 by Senator Gil Cedillo D-Los Angeles would require that all applicants for a California drivers license or a California identification card provide a social security number or a federal individual tax identification number ITIN. If an applicant presents an ITIN in lieu of a social security number, the applicant must also present a birth certificate or record of birth issued by their country of origin and one of the following: A matricula consular A passport issued by a foreign jurisdiction A military ID. A drivers license from a foreign jurisdiction A military identification card bearing a photo Any other document the Department of Motor Vehicles deems appropriate for proving ID. An estimated two million immigrants drive on California roads at any given time, creating a potentially dangerous public safety problem. Theyre working right now and no ones giving them background checks, Gov. Post Reply Private Reply To 5 View Replies To: InvisibleChurch Any non-citizen can drive legally in California with valid international drivers licences obtained in their country of origin along with auto insurance that would cover them driving in the US. This bill is completely unneccesary, unless, of course, you want them to vote. Tom McClintock, planned to launch a ballot initiative to overturn the law, said Jeff Evans, a spokesman for a group called Save Our License. Basically, if you get enough signatures on a referendum by the end of the year, you can stop the law from taking into effect. This is better than writing a whole new initiative, because then a window is open so licenses are issued. But timing is important, so I hope they get their act together and come up with a petition soon. Just like the huge increase in the car tax got more recall signatures than Issas million dollars. In the 1994 election that passed Prop 187 forty percent of the voters came out to vote just to vote for Prop 187. Thirty percent of Americans of Hispanic origin voted for Prop 187. Of all the flag waving at the signing today its being reported that there was not a single American Flag. Its rumored that United States DOJ is looking at Davis and his fund raising violations and such. After hes removed it should be made public - unless the Dems have worked out a deal with the Bush Administration. Bill OReilly reported more than once that the Bush Administration worked out a deal with Congressional Democrats to lay off the Clintons. Except for the little people like in the DNC campaign funds scandal. The idea that Mexican immigration is vital to the United States economy is simply false, Camarota said. Next, Camarota noted that Mexican immigrants pay significantly less in taxes compared with native Californians but use disproportionately more welfare benefits than those born in the state. Camarotas data showed that the average taxes paid by Mexican immigrants in California amount to about $1,535 per year, while native-born Californians pay $5,600 in taxes. While Mexican immigrants pay one-third the taxes of native Californians on average, they also consume roughly three times more welfare, Camarota said. The CIS data showed that 415 percent of Mexican immigrants used major welfare programs like Medicaid and food stamps, while those same welfare programs were used by only 142 percent of native Californians. His argument makes no sense, if it did why is it state policy to take the licenses away from drunk drivers? Oh and what form of identification do you use to purchase a weapon in the state? I think this law should be challenged on equal protection grounds, it sets up a two tiered system whereby legals have to submit SS cards and illegals dont. The ones who work could - but they might not have $300 to send back to Mexico every month - or beer and lottery ticket money. They wont buy insurance - just like they dont save up for their kids college tuition, theyve become accustomed to the idea of getting everything from the taxpayers. Its completely stupid - illegals who dont pass a test or prove driving skills arent just going to put away their car keys and quit driving, theyll still drive without licenses just like they have all along. There will be as many or more hit & runs - theyve already learned the best insurance is to speed away, they can make it over the border and get a new identity if they need to. With Motor Voter, illegals will be registered to vote when they apply for their licenses. Illegal votes WILL determine who becomes a senator or a congressman as it has already with the election of Sanchez over Dornan. Illegal votes WILL likely change the outcome of a presidential election within the next eight years. With a CA drivers license, illegals will be able to obtain virtually any other form of ID or documentation. Illegals will then be able to do virtually anything an American citizen can do. They will be able to travel freely anywhere in the US with their perfectly valid CA drivers license, which is honored in every other state. Those of you who think this only affects California, you need to pull your heads out of the sand.
