\_ Shooting the robber and leaving him on the floor unconscious was
obviously self-defense. Calmly returning to the store afterwards
and shooting the unconscious robber on the floor five more times,
killing him? That sounds like murder to me.

\_ First-degree murder is for killings that are premeditated, which
shouldn't be applied to killing out of rage when one was
ROBBED AT GUNPOINT. Do you think the robberer would be
convicted of first-degree murder if it was him shooting the
pharmacist dead after the pharmacist pointed a gun at him but
was shot and fell first? I don't think so. --- OP
