        Stephenson's books online at the library, and many others, free for
        the DL.  Ebooks and audiobooks.
        \_ It's this kind of freetardation that drives california to bankruptcy
           if you want something you should buy it.
           \_ Yes, every home should pay for fire insurance (no insurance,
              no fire truck). Likewise, every man should pay for his/her safety.
              Most policemen eat too much donuts anyways. What a waste!!!
           \_ Look!  It's a bird!  It's a plane!  No, it's STRAW MAN!
           \_ I laugh as YOUR state goes bankrupt. Lol@ state IOUS.
        \_ The link doesn't work for me.

8/5 kchang says: sorry, in an attempt to fix Atom bugs, the unique ID (<id>) of
        the CSUA MOTD feed started to change every day (the datestamp moves),
        thus a lot of readers think all the threads are unique. I've fixed it
        so that the unique ID is constant so you guys don't get every single
        old entry from previous dates. Sorry about innundating your reader
        with a bunch of old entries. PS if you use RSS/Atom reader, you
        can add the CSUA MOTD feed here: http://csua.com/feed
        \_ what was broken in the first place?
           \_ Misha Dynin pointed me to a feedvalidator and pointed out
              errors in the <id> format which I fixed:

        Excellent video of the Great Depression. Low corporate tax, little
        regulation... any of this sound familiar?
        \_ The Libertarians have surrendered the field.
           \_ just decided it wasn't worth arguing with y'all
              \_ it's ok you'll just be marginalized and then forgotten
                 like the Federalists
        \_ When's the next world war?
           \_ ask putin, or north korea
              \_ Putin is too busy having skin-to-skin contact with his horse.
                 \_ then ask his horse.
              \_ ask the Isralies
              \_ ask the Isralites

8/5     Why is Mac OS 10.6 $29 and 10.5.6 $129? Is it a typo?
        \_ $29 for existing users.
           \_ it doens't even support ppc does it.
              \_ who cares about ppc anymore? Everything is Intel based
                 \_ I have a PPC mini at home that I use.
                 \_ I have a quad core G5 ppc.
                 \_ I have an Xserve PPC.
                 \_ I manage a lab of PPC G5 towers for kids.
        \_ 10.4 -> 10.5 = $129
           10.5 -> 10.6 = $29
           In order to go to 10.4 to 10.6, you must purchase cumulatively:
           10.4 -> 10.5 -> 10.6 = $129 + $29
           Patch releases are free:
           10.5 -> 10.5.1 -> 10.5.2 -> ... = $0

8/5     Bart link:tinyurl.com/klhb8x vs. MTA link:tinyurl.com/ksmn4c NSFW
        \_ Guess MTA doesn't stop running huh.
           \_ Yup.
        \_ Looks like they art more SRS over there.
        \_ I'd give bart the win, except that it is a photoshop job.
           \_ nah, I'd give MTA the definite win.
