12/* oh boy
        http://www.zombietime.com/operation_first_casualty
\_ It's so wonderful how after the elecetion idiots like zombietime
went from annoying to pathetic overnight. Have a wonderful 8
           years!
\_ Why do you call it pathetic?
\_ It is axiomatic that Zombietime is pathetic. !pp
\_ That was the best you could come up with? That's pathetic
                    \_ You are all pathetic!
\_ Looks like he is going for 16...

12/1 "There are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There
are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we now know
we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we
do not know we don't know." [Donald Rumsfeld]
\_ This is CLASSIC. -socialist liberal
\_ I never really got what was supposed to be so funny about this.
\_ Understood; it's an answer that's actually pretty much on
target, yet it sounds absurd to spell it out. Many things suffer
from a similar absurdity at a certain granular level. --erikred
\_ Same here. I also never got what was so funny about the "series
of tubes" comment. I guess if Jon Stewart mocks it enough times
              then it's funny.
of tubes" comment. I guess Jon Stewart has lowered the comedy
              threshold...
\_ I'll bet you think xckd is hilarious.
\_ I don't even know what xckd is, so you just lost the bet.

12/1 US economy in recession since Dec 2007, says NBER:

\_ But our PRESIDENT said we're simply in a tough spot and that
           we'll back to our feet!

12/1 No, being Canadian didn't help in Mumbai.
        http://csua.org/u/n0s
\_ The gunmen were going to places that British + Americans
frequented at. They had no idea if this guy was a Canadian
           or not.

12/1 Isn't Star Wars Guy going to give us a quote about today's market?
\_ no, one guy hated it more than lulz guy, so ... in any case, last
week was all about the torps having gone in and the death star folks
still flipping switches as if everything were okay. today:
The rumble of a distant explosion begins.
\_ Last week was weird because people (like me) were on vacation.
I heard the number of shares available for trade was low.
\_ Yes, Thanksgiving week is usually very light volume, so h0z3r5
                 can move prices easily.

Head NBER fucker from Stanfurd said on 10/8 that economic data are
        "perplexing"
\_ Well, it is pretty perplexing to have the economy growing while
the unemployment rate is also increasing. I don't think it has
ever happened before, but it is actually a pretty good sign for
the long term prosperity of the country, since it means productivity
           must be jamming.

12/1 "Highest tide in 20 years floods historic Venice - Yahoo! News"
        http://www.csua.org/u/n0v
Flooding in Venice? Isn't Venice the "City of Water" which is always
        flooded anyway?
\_ Venice is frequently, but not always, flooded. There was a good
Nova eps. about flooding in Venice and possible solutions a few
           years ago:
