7/16 Looking for iPhone 3G docking station that works with a case
on the phone. Docking stations today assume your iPhone
        is always naked. Thanks.

7/13 first day of sixth grade. the best part about those rayon
monstrosities? the bras that all the girls had just begun to wear
over the summer were plainly visible through them. or, in my case,
it wasn't, and i was taunted the entire first day for OMG, not
wearing a bra yet. then when i started wearing one (after waiting
until the last possible moment after the first day of school to tell
my mother i needed one, so she had to take me to get a bra before
school on the second day), i was teased for having what they called
a "push-up bra", i.e., not a sports bra- one with actual cups,
straps, a snap in the back, etc. it's pretty satisfying to know
that i have bigger tits now than any of these girls probably do.
well, except maybe for the Amazon Woman second from the right.

7/17 CS degrees no longer paying off:
\_ thanks for the url. but what i got was that she was an expensive
db admin from a telco and her advice for job security was to have
           m4d c0d1NG sk1ll5
\_ CS has always been a field where you have to agressivly stay
current and you have to save for those lean years where jobs
are tough. Staying current has never been easier and frankly
if you don't have a good project that you could waste a year
or two on you aren't a good CS person. -mid 30s/no kids/no mortgage
\_ Staying current is not easy for someone like me with two kids,
timewise. -- late 30s, wife & two kids, mortgage
\_ Completely true, but it's part of the job. Actually, it's a
                 part of most well-paid jobs.
               \_ Just switch to management. -- early 40s phb, w & k, mortgage
\_ "And in information technology, a portfolio of hands-on
experience with programming is a really good thing to have."
\_ Except if you're in Google, experience is a LIABILITY.
They hate people with experience. They want young,
energetic, optimistic, hard working (e.g. willing to work
70 hours a week min). They hate old farts and they even
start old farts at the SAME LEVEL as newbies for a year
so that they can prove themselves. However, promotion is
based on co-worker kissing each other's ass, so it's an
environment that is very old fart unfriendly. -G
\_ Do you ever shut up?
\_ No and FUCK YOU. Larry larry larry larry larry!!!

7/17 Wow, finally a map of where they want to drill in ANWR.
\_ How much benefit do you really think this oil will have?
I.e., assuming every last drop is pumped out, how much
do you expect the price of oil would drop, and for how
           long? I'm genuinely curious here.
\_ It will definitely have a more measureable effect than hybrids
              will on global warming.
\_ pp asked about "benefits", you described "measurable
effect". Did you go to community college?
\_ Aside from containing somewhat topical words, wtf does this
                 actually mean?

7/17 GOOG misses. Net income of $3.92/share vs. expectations of $4.00/share.
Earnings up 35% compared to same quarter last year. No guidance on
future earnings as usual. I also heard last week that they are
currently only hiring for essential positions.
\_ Oh fuck, I need to dump GOOG now
\_ They over-hired a bunch of dumb shits. "Essential positions"
means they need to replace super elite programmers who have
been there a while, vested, and are now beginning to jump
off the ship. Read Glassdoor, my negative review is there. -G
\_ There are a 120 reviews there, can you be a little more specific?
\_ Not really, I don't want to give myself away. Hint:
I'm one of the very top reviewers and you won't miss
my entry. Ok bye I think my coworker is watching my
screen. It's like Brady Bunch here, no privacy whatsoever. -G
\_ You gave it 2 bars? Higher than I expected from you...
\_ Great news indeed. Do you think my short is going to be in
the money soon? -GOOG short 100 guy
\_ I shoulda shorted it at 700. But I never short anything, I'm
              too scared.

7/17 Phone Saber.. kewl.. i am sure Office SPace will have it
on their next couple of shows
\_ drawing your phone saber at staff meetings is inappropriate
        \_ Isn't Office Space a movie?
\_ i think he means 'the office'
