November/December to collect my phat bonus, and then let everything
go into the shitter in Jan, and not go to jail! Yay!
\_ And then go get a job with the Administration after I am canned...
\_ You don't really believe that BS do you?
\_ the part about levitating markets, being able to collect
phat bonuses, or not going to jail?
\_ That they can move the markets.

1/22 Big Yahoo Layoffs Coming Soon:
        http://www.paidcontent.org/entry/419-big-yahoo-layoffs-coming-soon
        \_ 700 employees is 6%. 2,000 employees is 1 out of 6. Okay.
Then again, if I were running a company, I'd plan for the latter,
do the former, and trim toward 1/6 as circumstances warrant.
Repeat plan if things suck next year.

1/22 Behold! The world's largest swimming pool: http://csua.org/u/kjc
        Visible from space! http://csua.org/u/kjb
\_ It contains salt water and it's right next to the sea. What's the
point of the swimming pool again?
\_ I had precisely the same question. Maybe they're controlling the
temperature, or just the fact that you can't get swept out to sea
              is a selling point? -op
\_ SHARK! (also, maybe jellyfish and other nasties)
\_ How much does it cost to heat a pool of that size?
\_ theoretically theyre cleaning it up a bit, not letting ni all the
              random sea life.
\_ The ocean in Chile is COLD.

1/22 Dear swami, today's interest rate has gone low low low and my
wife is whining to get a house. Is now a good time?
\_ you in santa clara county?
\_ Swami says that keeping your wife happy is more important than
trying to buy at the bottom of the market. If you can find a
home that you can afford with a 30 year fixed rate mortgage
in a place you like and can imagine staying in for a long time,
go ahead and buy now. -GS

1/22 Study: Bush, officials made false statements prior to war
        http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080123/ap_on_go_pr_wh/misinformation_study
In other news, sky still blue!
\_ 935 false statements in two years is a lot of false statements, even
           for a President.
