12/17 oh mighty motd, where can i get a 20" LCD display
        for around $200?
        \_ Costco has a 19" for around $200, with 6ms response, 1280x1024,
           700:1 contrast ratio.

12/17 Hey, no problem with registering your guns. Unless of course a paper
        happens to publish the list.

\_ A newspaper gathered and printed public info and you're upset?

        Prius drivers are stupid.
\_ "The More You Drive, The Less Intelligent You Are".
           \_ Plate of shrimp.
\_ I actually have to agree with this statement. People obsessed
about cars tend to have lower IQ.
\_ What study demonstrated that 'fact'?
        \_ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Revised_petrol_use_urban_density.JPG
Look at density of Phoenix (1180) and Houston (1120). They have
to drive more than say, New York. Everyone knows that the average
combined IQ Phoenix and Houston is still lower than a New York.
Let's not even get into the discussion of Europeans vs. Americans
because that's just too obvious. -European
\_ "Let's not even get into" trolling the motd with so few people
around to play. As you say, "Everyone knows ... that's just
              too obvious".
\_ I think it's more interesting to compare the Australian cities
with LA and New York. More area per person AND fewer gallons
per person for Australian cities. Actually, even LA does better
than NY. I thought NY has good public transit systems while LA
              has bad ones.

12/18 Is POP back up yet? I've tried Outlook with no luck thus far.

12/18 An incoming mail of mine was delayed 5 hours this morning and
then truncated, such that only the header was received. Also, I
haven't received any email over the last 6 hours (and there was mail
sent to me during this time).
\_ Why we're still using something as broken as Sendmail is
           beyond me.
\_ Things seemed to be fine over the last week, so what changed
today to make things not work?
2006/12/18-23 [Computer/HW] UID:45467 Activity:moderate
12/17 Sun hardware question. I have a machine that has two graphics
cards. When it boots up, the boot messages appear on one display,
but when dtlogin runs the Xserver, it appears on the other display.
Any idea how to get it all to appear on one display?
\_ Try configuring it to explicitly start the dtlogin on :0.0 or :0.1
           and see which works.
\_ How do you do that?
             \_ Take a look at /etc/dt/config/Xservers. -ERic
\- the boot messages are controled by the eeprom output-device
pointer [probaby ... dep on version of OBP]. the issue
may be where you frame buffer /dev/fb points to rather
than the display used. hard to guess without looking
                   at your system etc. --psb
