1/23 My motorcycle (old and unregistered) was just towed. By the time i was notified the fees the towyard wanted were more than the old bike was worth. When this happened to me years ago, I just signed over the vehicle to the towyard (or let them lien sale it) and was done with it. My brother, though, assures me that the towyard will now come after me for 30 days worth of fees plus dismantling + ... Anyone have any contemporary info on this? What if I just send in a release of liability form right now? I have tried to negotiate with the towyard it has not worked. \_ Why don't you just ask the tow yard? And how did you not notice your bike was missing? \_ I would advise that you pay the towyard. They can be quite aggressive about going after you via credit agencies, which can ruin your credit for years to come. destabilize your credit for years to come. \_ Is this in San Francisco? Google for Chicken John and City Tow. |

1/23 If I were to put a small 12V 2-3" fan nearby my hot HD, is it better to blow on the top silver side, or is it better to blow on the lower bottom (motor) side? My HD is really really really hot and I'm afraid it might break down if I don't do anything about it. \_ Heat rises. Blow on the top side. That's what Yermom told me. \_ So Hismom told you to start blowing? \_ Heat rises. Blow on the top side. |

1/23 My car is about 10 years old and has a cassette tape desk. I have an adaptor that I can plug an iPod or portable CD player into the tape desk to play music. Sometimes it works fine, but all too often, it spontaneously ejects the "tape" and won't play it even after re-inserting. I've had the same problem with more than 1 tape adaptor, so I think it's something about my car's casette player. What can I do to fix this? Would a tape head cleaner do the trick, or is that only for fixing poor sound quality? \_ get a hybrid car \_ I may consider that when I get a new car, but since my car works just fine now, I don't think I'll be spending $10000+ for a new one. But thanks for the suggestion. -op \_ get a new player. $100-$200. |
