8/11    So I downloaded a ISO disk (Redhat). What do I do with it?
        \_ Burn it to a CD. Any cd-burning software should have an option
           to write an ISO image to a blank CD.

                   BIN to ISO. But WinISO costs $$$ :(

                      Download trial version of Ahead Nero. That definitely
                      burns ISOs

                      It's a standard format.  obgoogle, jeeze.

              off the first cd and point the install to where the iso's are

8/11    Mac OS X users:  is there such thing as an "emulation mode" in OS X?
        90% of the apps I use have Mac OS X versions.  But what's keeping me
        from pulling the trigger and buying an PowerBook is that 10%.  I have
        some legacy windows app that doesn't have OS X version.  I'm wondering
        if there is emulation software and how reliable is it?  Thanks.
        \_ are you talking MS Windows or os9?  There are both.  The
           windows emulator costs money and supposedly runs kinda slowly on
           in the 12 inch powerbook because the lack of l3 cache, but works
           pretty damn good.

              I can say is HOT DAMN!  No wonder microsoft bought the rights
              to their software.  If this really works, I'll be buying a 17"

              A couple that i use almost daily are efax viewer and winfax
