3/4 This is good:
jose CP 67.121.94.23 3:14PM 1:39 cat /etc/motd.public
How do you cat something as short as the motd for over 1.5 hours?
"So the guy at the bar says, 'that's no cat, that's my wife!'" hahahh!
\_ you can pipe it through "more"
\_ I guess... why not just 'more $file'?
\_ because $file expands to whatever $file is before the command
                 is execed.
\_ I was being generic. I'll spell it out for the anal among
you and try again, "why not just 'more /etc/motd.public'?
\_ or losing an ssh connection while executing the command.
\_ Doesn't sshd use tricks to detect such stale sessions and kill
them off, including all applications that belong to the same
             session?
\_ maybe but it's pretty funky dropping a connection in the split
second it takes to cat the motd. im suspicious of this behavior.

3/4 3rd near market: saw a limo with 2 sets of 3 short vertical blue neon
lights on each side as if someone had done an ugly case mod to it.
        people are just weird.
\_ and you just figured this out?
\_ yeah but who case mods their limo??

3/5 VI people, please ignore:
I have defined a function (well, copied from the web) using
(defun jsp-mode() .....), dump it into my .emacs file
how to call it explicitly in emacs? M-x then?
(and no, i dont' know how to hook my jsp-mode to .jsp file)
\_ VI people how to ignore? Maybe VI people knowing how to, eh?
Some people how to knowing multiple editor environments! --howto
\_ I do have multimode.el. I did managed to get jsp mode to work
but I still don't know how to call functions which
explicitly defined in the .emacs file.
\_ Explicity defined is managed getting jsp mode work but not
how to doing explicit function call VI!
\_ You weenies and your interative editors. SED is the STANDARD!
\_ You weenies and your interactive editors. SED is the STANDARD!
            \_ Real Men(c) don't make speling mistakes!
\_ Your interactive editor incorrectly assumed "interactive"
               instead of "iterative."

3/5 http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/news/news-iraq-usa-shirt.html
\_ It's unfortunate that both NYT and CNN are running the same
Reuters article since that article doesn't mention anything
about the resulting demonstrations and protests after this arrest.
\_ Protest what? There is no freedom of speech in private
enterprises you twit. A private business can choose
                   its customers.
enterprises you twit. A private business can choose its
customers. Here's the unbiased article title: 'Belligerent lawyer
              arrested for trespassing'
\_ are you that stupid? Ever see a mall with a sign that says "no
niggers allowed"? Or "colored only drinking fountain"? If the
place is open to the public, it's subject to all the
                 laws/regulations just like public land.
\_ Wearing a tshirt does not fall under the jurisdiction of
equal protection, twit. Please don't argue about the
Constitution from a position of complete ignorance - you
make yourself look stupid. But maybe thats inevitable.
Under your logic, maybe we should now extend special
protection for crimes against people wearing certain
tshirts, and maybe relaxed admission policies or hiring
practices for those who wear the politically correct
                     tshirt.
\_ It's their right to toss the guy out (if a bit pathetic), but
the way they treated him was pretty pathetic.

"You'll be serving muffins in cafes if you're lucky." God damn! I
        love that guy.
\_ I love how that article cuts off every Savage quote right before
he goes off the total deep end so he doesn't look as insane as
           he really is.
\_ He's still good entertainment. It's only TV. Who cares?
