4/20 Anyone knows of a company where they are hiring Perl developers?
        \_ sun
        \_ ActiveState
\_ People to develop in perl, or people to develop the perl language
           tools themselves?
\_ People who develop in Perl.

4/20 "Indeed, if I understand this global-warming business correctly, the
danger is that the waters will rise and drown the whole of
Massachusetts, New York City, Long Island, the California coast and a
few big cities on the Great Lakes --- in other words, every Democratic
enclave will be wiped out leaving only the solid Republican heartland.
Politically speaking, for conservatives there's no downside to global
        warming." --- Mark Steyn
\_ Stupid. It will just turn Indiana into New York, and there will
           be no "heartland" left.
\_ But think of the children! Won't somebody please think of the
              children!
                \_ family values
\_ Its a joke. Get it a joke. Anyway, I think Global Warming will
be good. We need warmer weather. I hate wearing pants and shoes
and San Jose is soo far from the beach right now.
\_ And you think my answer is serious? Yes, I like warm
weather. It's cold where I am.
\_ and don't you hate pants?
                      \_ especially underpants.
\_ yeah, punk rock. now this thread is going
                            someplace.
\_ better thread topic: how about asian girls
who shave "down there", wear skirts and
                               no underwear.

4/20 Which dance song from teh 80s has the line "Under Pressure" ?
\_There is a Queen song called "Under Pressure" . The first
measure of the bass line was sampled and used on Vanilla Ice's
"Ice, Ice, Baby". I'm not sure if "Under Pressure" qualifies
          as a "dance" song though.
          \- no, its David Bowie
\- if you are looking for a "dance version" there are a
huge number of version of this song. it's also been done
with other people, like annie lennox. --psb
\_ Didn't David Bowie sing that song too?
\_ It sounded like David Bowie. What is it called ?
\_ It is David Bowie with Queen, and it's called "Under
                   Pressure," curiously enough. -tom

4/20 Stupid protesters. They should study history. Idiots don't understand
globalization prevents war by making countries dependent on trade.
\_ although the "interdependence theory" is one many people argue for
[see e.g. Rise of the Tradin State by R. Rosencrance] the naive version
is simply not true based of the evidence. You think Germany and the
rest of Europe didnt have complicated trading relationships in the
        early 1900s? --psb

\_ (Though if they don't play by the rules, we beat them up, like Iraq)
So in the end they shouldn't be protesting the loss of jobs, it's
better than the loss of lives. - ex-protestor/communist
\_ And we declared war on Iraq because of our trade agreements with
           Kuwait...
\_ because by disrupting the flow of oil to heavily dependent
europe and japan, it would affect the global econ.
