11/4 is there some kind of good/bad prof list on csua. at any rate, what
do people think of sequin for graphics?
\_ Smith BAD. Harvey good for 61a, okay for 61c, not good for 162.
Aiken good for 164. Forsythe, Sequin, Barsky good for 184.
Canny strange (he's teaching 184 in VRML instead of OpenGL
                like everyone else).
\_ HKN has professor evaluations for EECS/CS classes online.
\_ If these are enough for you then you obviously don't
care enough. It's best to ask your friends whether
Prof. So-and-so is a good teacher for class N, and
if not, ask *why* not ... because the very things
made that professor bad for your friends may make
them an excellent choice for you...
\_ with the exception of prof Smith which everyone unanimously
                  dislikes.

UK man acccused of stealing 1.5 million
                Mars bars

                5 November 1998
Web posted at: 17:22 CET, Paris time (16:22 GMT)

LONDON, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Supervisor Martin Keys seems
to have had a particularly sweet tooth -- he is on trial for
stealing 1.5 million chocolate Mars bars worth 500,000 pounds
($829,000). Newspapers on Thursday said Keys, accused of
plotting to steal eight truck loads of the bars, made so much
money he paid 21,000 pounds in cash for a new car and put
down a 52,000 pound cash deposit on a house.

"This story concerns chocolate. The theft of chocolate. A lot
of chocolate -- a mountain of chocolate," prosecutor Simon
Brand told the court in Gloucester, southwest England.

"This is not a case where someone simply slipped a Mars bar
into their pocket that didn't belong to them," he said.

The finger of suspicion fell on Keys when a truck arrived at
the warehouse and found most of the bars that should have
been on the shelves had vanished. Keys, 31, denies the charges.

                ($1-.6031 Pound)

11/5 Does anyone know if there's such thing as game port to USB adaptor?
My laptop has USB but not game port and I have a non-USB joystick.
I would like to use that same joystick on my laptop. I know a
parallel port to USB exists. Does game port to USB adaptor exist?
\_ Never heard of such a thing, but it's likely to cost more than a
new joystick. Welcome to the Brave New World Of High Tech.
