3/19 Ever thought about puting the motd under RCS or SCCS? Making people
        "check out" the motd.public would:
         - end the two people editing at once problems
         - increase the clue level required to edit it
         - provide a trail to rebuild from when it's hozed
\_ I bet you're one of those people who puts his mail spool under
SCCS just in case you forget that you've logged on several times.

3/19 Eric Mehlhaff achieves fame via the Wired net.surf column. Fifteen
        minutes, and counting!
        \_ ERiC is RAD!

3/18 The disks are getting full -- clean up yer shit:
\_ just because we have a 10 meg quota doesn't mean you should go
            and use it all!
\-and just because you have csua office hours doesnt mean you
should boot someone off an xterminal.
\_ Yes it does. If you're willing to spend the effort, you
should be rewarded for it in at least that way.
\_ but it is a lot of fun...
\_ Now, Now kids. Here's how I see it. If there is
somebody already on the machine then you should let
them finish what they are doing. If they are playing
games then you can boot them. If you are planning to
log on and just mud or something, don't. If whomever
is using the Xterminal is working on the machine
(ie: Me or Mehlhaff), then they have priority since
those machines aren't really ready yet. --SMurF

3/19 Due to popular request, I stuck a function to get you xterm-style
cutting and pasting under e19 in /usr/local/lib/Emacs19/ll/X-hacks.el.

3/19 The three commands everyone should know:
            1. df (check free space before you save a bunch of crap)
            2. gzip (compress everything)
            3. rm (don't need it? kill it)

3/19 I am looking for a female friend. Might lead to a closer
relationship (gf???). Interested??? Post your name here.

        \_Get a clue instead.
\_You really ought to just have the guts to say:
"I'm single, would any girls on soda like to have lunch
sometime?" I mean, like anyone is going to post a response
so a cloud of soda geeks descends on her. --aaron
\_Are you serious? Someone on soda? You need help.
\_ Hey, some very nice people on soda!
\_ There are some nice people here, but the motd is NOT the place
to go looking for babes (except aaron). - seidl
\_Who cares about all the comments above? What's important is that
there won't be any kind of reply that the original poster wishes
for. If there is, I'll be a *&#^@$.
\_ I'll go out with you! The first blowjob is free. You're gong to
have to pay for the rest though. -yermom
